The half-height platform screen door shares the same installation purpose as the BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) platform screen door, but it is only half the height of a full-height platform screen door. As the half-height type does not seal the platform, it cannot prevent air-conditioning loss, making it suitable for use on platforms without air-conditioning systems.
