Beijing Taikang Research Institute is located at No. 12 Kexueyuan Road, Zhongguancun Life Science Park, Changping District, Beijing. Designed by the U.S.-based architectural firm Perkins+Will, the complex features a modern and minimalist glass curtain wall design. With a total gross floor area of approximately 97,000 m², it is a modern comprehensive training and development center integrating training, conferences, accommodation, health and wellness, and leisure facilities.

Large‑scale multifunctional facilities experience high foot traffic and diverse entrance scenarios, placing high demands on the operational stability, safety performance, and compatibility of door automation systems with interior finishes.

To meet the project’s multi‑scenario and large‑scale requirements, KBB provided a one‑stop indoor entrance solution, independently handling product design, manufacturing, and on‑site installation. The venue was equipped with a range of automatic door solutions, including automatic sliding doors, heavy‑duty automatic sliding doors, curved sliding‑plug doors, and automatic swing doors.

Leveraging its in‑house design and precision manufacturing capabilities, KBB can adapt to complex interior designs and distinctive architectural styles, while undertaking customized projects for non‑standard dimensions, special shapes, and other bespoke door solutions.

The complete automatic door system was commissioned and fine‑tuned under actual site conditions, balancing safety for high‑frequency traffic, reliable operation, and architectural aesthetics to create a smooth and comfortable access experience for the venue.
